About Far Eastern Federal University
Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) is one of Russia’s most prominent higher education institutions, located in Vladivostok, the administrative center of Primorsky Krai. The university was created by merging four prominent educational institutions in the Russian Far East:
- Far Eastern State University (FESU)
- Far Eastern State Technical University (FESTU)
- Pacific State University of Economics (TSUE)
- Ussuriysk State Pedagogical Institute (USPI)
This merger aimed to create a unified institution capable of driving scientific and economic development in the Russian Far East, aligning with national interests in fostering closer ties with Asia-Pacific countries.
